NU Living
Property Developers
Essex-based property developers, NU Living approached me to create a series of illustrations promoting a new large scale, urban building development in Southend-on-Sea, called Porter’s Place.
The illustrations will be used as brand assets across all marketing including their website, newsletters and signage. They’ll also incorporate into other materials, such as social media content, brochures and adverts.
I was commissioned for my particular illustration style and my local knowledge.
Brief
To create a number of illustrations based on the project’s brand values of being approachable, fun and friendly.
The first part of the brief was to visualise signage surrounding the site to generate local community engagement in the project. The signage will be 14 metres in length and 2 metres in height – a real eye-catcher!
Solution
I drew characters that reflect the diversity of Southend. I used a simple ragged black keyline and injected the brand colours.
