Poster Illustrations
Art of Adventure is my avenue for showcasing my illustration work. I launched it in 2011 as my passion project and it has gone from strength to strength.
My illustrations revive a classic era of poster design, combining contemporary style with the nostalgia of 20th Century advertising. They reflect my love of travel, transport and nature in particular.
I design posters on my trusty Mac, using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I sell them in a variety of outlets and on the Art of Adventure website that I designed and built.
I started Art of Adventure in Sydney, Australia and I expanded it to the UK. It continues to flourish in Australia and it is growing steadily in the UK, selling to a global audience.
Brief
Create a series of posters to sell in retail outlets and Art of Adventure website, based on various local and world-wide travel destinations.
Solution
Using as a reference I took and sourced photographs relevant to the particular location, then drew vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator creating a sharp, clean look.
